WrestleMania 27 tickets are selling well so far. With sales starting just yesterday, the first four rows on all sides of the ring sold out including the $1000 tickets.
Bret Hart posted the following on his Facebook page: Just a quick update for everyone. The tour's going well but, unfortunately, somebody stole my ring jacket and sunglasses at the Nurnberg, Germany show last night. Any help would be appreciated. May they wear it in shame knowing they stole it! -Bret
On Friday morning, Shawn Michaels appeared on The Regular Guys radio show (http://www.regularguys.com) on Rock 100.5 in Atlanta to talk about Wrestlemania 27 at the Georgia Dome next April because tickets will be going on sale on Saturday morning. Some of the things that were discussed during the interview:
-- Shawn was asked to sing ‘Sexy Boy' a capella but he refused.
-- Shawn says that when you have done everything, you need to take on the biggest and baddest so he wanted to face the Undertaker at last year's Wrestlemania. Shawn says that if he was going to go out, to go out in a blaze of glory.
-- He has no complaints about his career.
-- Shawn was asked about coming out of retirement because everyone else has. Shawn says that in order to make the retirement mean something, you need to stay retired instead of constantly coming back.
-- Shawn says that nobody his size has done what he did in wrestling. He did what nobody else wanted to do or try to get where he was.
-- Shawn says that he went out on top.
-- Shawn talks about being in the first WWE ladder match, the first Hell in a Cell match, and the first WWE Iron Man match, first grand slam champion in WWE.
-- Shawn was asked about people who impressed him in the ring and he said that over a twenty year period, nobody besides him and Ric Flair went out and delivered in the ring every time. Triple H is the next closest person.
-- Shawn was asked if Marty Jannetty has called him recently and Shawn says that it has been a while. Shawn discussed Marty's returns to WWE.
-- Shawn was asked about one person to face that he never had the chance. Shawn says that people asked him about Sting. He says that it would have been fun to have a match with him.
-- Shawn was asked what he was going to be doing during Wrestlemania 27 and he has no idea.
-- Shawn said that WWE called him and asked if he would do some stuff in Atlanta and he said okay. He mentioned that most of the roster is over in Europe so they had him and Triple H since they are both in the U.S.
-- One of the hosts mentioned that Triple H and Shawn Michaels appeared at the Falcons game on Thursday night.
-- Shawn was asked if he played football and he said that he played football in high school because he lived in Texas.
-- Shawn said that Wrestlemania will have a huge economic impact on Atlanta because of all of the people coming into town.
-- Shawn was asked who his favorite wrestler is now and Shawn says that he would have to say Triple H and Undertaker.
